1980 240D "Low Benzo"

JD is one of a kind. Authentic as they come, this guy’s car is an extension of his identity. It’s is as unique as it’s driver and also serves a family wagon.  His love affair with cars started way back when with hot wheels. His interest grew as he began helping out friends with mechanic work. His first car was a ’69 302 Boss ‘stang. You could say he had a strong start in the race.
JD bought the Benz from a friend, in great shape, with a turbo kit… for 1K.
As it stood, it’s originality, coupled with such a screaming deal made the purchase a no brainer.
He bought it with no intention to modify it with the exception of cutting the springs but.. his creative impulse took hold and the car took on a life of it’s own. At first glance, the most stand-out feature of the Benz is it’s custom hood mounted smoke stack exhaust. Other people might argue that it’s the paint job (or lack thereof) that pulls you in. He achieved this signature look with paint stripper, hydrogen peroxide and other household acidic compounds.
DIY all the way.
As far as the future of this car, he is planning on a doing a top secret motor swap and bagging the car. (Stay tuned…Updates to come.)
Mods and parts list:
W123 body style
Rusted entire car
Wire tuck
Seats from german spec 300 td
Custom fabbed "frenched" bumpers
External gas tank conversion
Removed trim
Battery relocation
Custom exhaust

When asked what he would do with an unlimited budget, he emphatically stated that he would buy a 300TD wagon.

With a taste for heritage german engineering, realistically, he thinks his next car will be a 70’s era BMW 2002. To JD, the most important part of car culture is identity. Standing apart as an individual while simultaneously being united by the same passion. The ability to roll down a street and have someone definitively recognize your car. To be able to express your originality with mods and muscle and metal.
JD also wanted to mention that none of this would have happened without the help of his wife!  She has been his support, his cheerleader, and partner in crime.  She will continue to be by his side through this build, as she wants to see it in its final transformation!
Awards: Won Most Ratchet at IFO. Judge favorite. Custom category.

Noteable mention to Ric guerrero from stoopid low for all the build advice.
Thanks to everyone that supports the car and local scene!

1997 Toyota Supra

First Fit Mob feature!

Kishan Gohel's 97 Supra Limited. One word comes to mind when you see this car. Clean. This car is absolutely immaculate and its been very well taken care of by its owner. Kishan or DJSpecialK as some of you might know from Live 101.5 is a avid Supra enthusiast.

Picking up his interest in owning a Supra from his father who has owned several over the years, there was no question in his car choice. His build is really holding true to the heritage and history of these cars by keeping it classy and simple. No crazy low stance, extra wide wheels, or wild paint colors here folks, but don't let that fool you this thing is mean. Kishan is running some Momo wheels on stock suspension and we think it looks just right. Performance wise he's got the the car fitted with a authentic HKS exhaust, Megan Racing down pipe, Blitz SUS intake, front and rear strut bars, Greddy boost controller at 18psi from a twin scroll turbo setup.

Very clean ride from Kishan and we would like to show him some love for coming out to our meets since January!

Stay tuned for more features! We'll be selecting a vehicle every week. See everyone Thursday for the #weeklyAffair

2006 Scion Xb

2006 Scion Xb

When you think VIPstyle cars, is a Scion XB the first thing to come to your mind? For Chris Wilson it is. Chris is the owner of this 06 XB and before we get started he insisted on stating it was a build in progress and that there are many custom one of a kind pieces arriving soon for his XB.

As some of you may this is Chris second XB as his first one was totaled a few months back. As you can see that didnt stop him from achieving his vision with the new one! This thing is as clean as they come. When asked where his passion for the XB started we were told " I saw a commercial for the XB in prison and knew i had to have one." Starting with one XB and progressing so far then having the car be totalled must have been heartbreaking. But picking up the pieces and moving forward with new one shows dedication! Hope you all enjoyed a peep into Chris's XB and make sure you show him some love at the #weeklyaffair and ask him about his future plans for the XB. Trust me, its going to be killer...

Shout out to FRADA Heights for attending our meet. Appreciate the support!

Adrian is a Honda guy. Though his family has always demonstrated a loyalty to Hondas and enthusiasm for vehicles, his interest in cars was sparked without the influence of anyone else. This is his first modded ride. He fell in love with the sleek body styling and general elegant appeal of the car.
And to top it all off, this bad boy has a K20 in it!  To everyone who knows Hondas, that’s that shit I do like. The K20 is one of the best base motors to mod, boost, build, and use for all around hoonery that money can buy. Adrian’s future plans for boost by October show he’s headed in the right direction.

He heard about the Fit Mob meet from local car enthusiasts. Since his first appearance, he has been an avid attendee of the #weeklyaffair. He and the members of Project Stance have been an integral part of the crowd. Not only does he promote the meet, he introduces new people to our whereabouts and through word of mouth, Adrian and his crew have helped with the growth and expansion of the local car scene.
